These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any custom timepiece order placed with Northern Watch Lab. By browsing this site or submitting a build inquiry, you agree to these terms.

About Northern Watch Lab

Northern Watch Lab is an independent custom horology studio. We design and hand-assemble modified timepieces using aftermarket cases, dials, and genuine Japanese Seiko automatic movements. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Rolex SA, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Omega, or Seiko Watch Corporation. Any resemblance to their designs is aesthetic inspiration only, referenced solely to describe the styling of our builds.

How Ordering Works

All prices on this site are listed in CAD and represent a starting point for that build. To order, you reach out via the "Confirm My Build" button, email, Messenger, or WhatsApp. We confirm the exact specification with you directly, then send a secure payment link through Stripe. Assembly begins once payment is received — we do not begin work or lock in materials before that.

Pricing

Prices are subject to change without notice until a build is formally confirmed and a payment link has been issued to you. The price on your payment link is the price that applies to your order.

Payment

Payment is collected securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details. All payment disputes related to card processing are subject to Stripe's own terms in addition to ours.

Lead Times & Shipping

From the day your build is confirmed and payment is received, expect delivery in approximately 12–16 days, tracking included. This covers bench assembly, testing, and quality inspection before your piece is handed to tracked shipping. This is an estimate, not a guarantee, and can vary with order volume. Warranty

Every build includes a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the movement and assembly. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water exposure beyond the stated water-resistance rating, unauthorized repairs, or normal wear and tear.

Intellectual Property

All original text, photography, and design on this site belong to Northern Watch Lab unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northern Watch Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this site or ownership of a build. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
